The Össur Academy is committed to furthering the level of education and quality of prosthetic and orthopaedic knowledge among professionals, patients and their families.

Our aim is to enable orthotists, prosthetists and other medical professionals to achieve clinical success, through accessible information and the services we provide.

Get Back To Sport: Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation Masterclass

We are delighted to invite you to the CPD accredited Get Back To Sport: Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation Masterclass aimed at all rehabilitation professionals including physiotherapists and osteopaths.

The masterclass brings together some of the best minds in MSK rehabilitation, conditioning and research to help redress the fundamental principles that drive adaption and recovery. The event will take a detailed look at physcial rehabilitation as well as the importance of nutrition in the recovery of the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems, following surgical intervenion and injur. Topics wil also cover the psychlogical needs, deficits and barriers injured individuals face, how to improve patient motivation as well as looking at the importane of sleep for recovery and rehabilitation.

Whether your patients are looking to return to elite sport, or just their normal routine, there wil be learnings for all, as well as take-home strategies you can apply to your patients the very next day. AS this is a masterclass, there will be plenty of interactive and practical sessions and opportunities for discussion with the presenters below:

LimbPower Multisport Event

Armitage Centre, Moseley Road, Manchester,

LimbPower will be hosting a Multisport event for children and adults.

This is an opportunity for children to try physical activity and sports in a safe and freidnly envrionment. The children's activity will take place in the morning an the adult's in the afternoon. The sports on offer will include athletics, cycling, sitting volleyball, tennis and football. (Please note, this programme is subject to change and will be finalised two weeks prior to the event. Siblings are welcome to register and take part.

International Child and Adolescent Congress

Sheffield

Össur are proud to sponsor the International Child and Adolescent Knee Congress 2019.

This will be the first international meeting covering the treatment of Paediatric and Adolescent soft tissue knee injuries and disorders. It will also see some of the most experienced surgeons from around the world brought together to discuss and debate controversies and treatment options in a comprehensive programme.

The event will be held on 13th and 14th June 2019 at the Sheffield City Hall Ballroom.
