Össur Academy

The Össur Academy is committed to furthering the level of education and quality of prosthetic and orthopaedic knowledge among professionals, patients and their families.

Our aim is to enable orthotists, prosthetists and other medical professionals to achieve clinical success, through accessible information and the services we provide.


  • Develop and deliver high quality education for our customers to enhance their outcomes.
  • Support and initiate research which expands the knowledge base in prosthetics and orthopaedics.
  • Augment fellowship programs which exemplify excellence in clinical academia.

LimbPower Multisport Event

Armitage Centre, Moseley Road, Manchester,

LimbPower will be hosting a Multisport event for children and adults.

This is an opportunity for children to try physical activity and sports in a safe and freidnly envrionment. The children's activity will take place in the morning an the adult's in the afternoon. The sports on offer will include athletics, cycling, sitting volleyball, tennis and football. (Please note, this programme is subject to change and will be finalised two weeks prior to the event. Siblings are welcome to register and take part.

7th Surrey Knee Symposium

The Surrey Knee Symposium provides an update in the assessment, treatment and management of a painful knee with a focus on the main current hot topics in both knee surgery and rehabilitation.

Primarily targeted at physiotherapists and illied health professionals, the 7th installment of the Surrey Knee Symposium will bring together a renowned surgical faculty and will see a more integrated approach with rehabilitation updates and protocols provided by specialist sports physiotherapists.

International Child and Adolescent Congress


Össur are proud to sponsor the International Child and Adolescent Knee Congress 2019.

This will be the first international meeting covering the treatment of Paediatric and Adolescent soft tissue knee injuries and disorders. It will also see some of the most experienced surgeons from around the world brought together to discuss and debate controversies and treatment options in a comprehensive programme.

The event will be held on 13th and 14th June 2019 at the Sheffield City Hall Ballroom.

An Evening with Össur and London Sports Orthopaedics.

For the first time Össur webinars will be broadcasting with a live audience from London Bridge Hospital. Mr Ian McDermott, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at LSO and Honorary Professor Associate at Brunel University, Kal Parmar, Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine and our very own Giles Leeming will be taking us through the conservative management options for Knee OA. The order of the night will be as follows:
