Double Paralympic Gold Medallist on Strictly Come Dancing

Double Paralympic Gold Medallist Jonnie Peacock wowed judges and viewers alike on Saturday night’s Strictly Come Dancing as he and his partner Oti Mabuse performed a fast paced jive.

Jonnie who won gold medals in the 100m sprint in the 2012 and 2016 Paralympic games in London & Rio, stunned us with his energetic moves to the aptly chosen backing song Johnny B Goode by Chuck Berry. This week Jonnie, who’s leg was amputated aged five following the contraction of meningitis, performed the lively dance wearing an Össur Flex-Run blade. Indeed, many viewers have taken to social media to congratulate him for his performance.

Jonnie most certainly let his hair down with the challenging twisting and bouncing movements alongside his partner Oti. His routine was delivered with precision, flair and rhythm.

We will be rooting for Jonnie for the rest of the Strictly Competition and beyond. His focus and determination is evident in all that he does and we look forward to what Oti & Jonnie will deliver next week, in their next dance challenge. It’s bound to be a treat.
