What’s been happening at CTi?

New-CTi-Custom-Patella 239 x 300Since November 2013 and the end of last year's Dirt Bike Show the brace has seen another update and the team have attended more UK events than ever. This time last year the updated CTi brace was being delivered to the UK warehouse in time for the show, allowing the people attending Dirt Bike Show 2013 the chance to be the first people to get their hands on the latest version. The latest improvements saw a lighter and lower profile frame which came in a matte finish. Changes to the hinge reduced the weight further whilst providing increased strength. Newly trimmable straps allowed a more custom fit and field serviceable D-rings gave riders the choice of having them on the inside or outside of the frame. These changes proved popular at the show with the new design being chosen by almost all customers.

As always with Össur products the improvements kept on coming. The New Year brought new dirt bike accessories. The patella cup was improved with the addition of a femoral shell, offering full protection of the thigh and knee from impact. Along with new gear guards the MX accessories are much easier to attach to the brace, improving the experience of wearing a CTi.

The CTi team have been supporting our sponsored riders on track and water again this year. We have also found the time to attend some exciting events. In May the CTi gazebo travelled down to Matterley Basin for the British leg of the MXGP series. This was the first experience of live motocross for some of the team and what an introduction to the sport. As anyone who was there will remember, it was a rain few days in the lead up and it took some driving skills to get the van on site! It was worth the wait and as the sun appeared on the Sunday the team were treated to some great races.

Out on the water the team have been fortunate enough to attend numerous events including the UK Cable Nationals and Night Jump. Hosted at JB Ski near London the day was a great success. Wonderfully warm and busy during the competition, turning to a fun party atmosphere in the evening for the night jump. It was great to be involved with the wakeboarding community.
