Review

The review phase is the final stage of treatment and allows the Clinician to assess the effects the foot orthotics are having on the symptoms presented.

The review phase will take approximately ½ hour and will involve the following stages;

Biomechanics DiscussionDiscussion - Following a series of questions asked by the Clinician, he/she will be able to determine what effect the orthotics have had on the original symptoms.

By now, the person will have been using the orthotics for 6 - 8 weeks and will have had sufficient time to test out the orthotics, so objective feed back is critical in determining their success.

Completion Phase - Depending on the outcome of the discussion phase, further alternations may or may not be necessary. In the majority of all cases, no further alterations are required, however should this be necessary, one or more of the following steps will be taken;

  • Review the pressures & forces data
  • Review the motion analysis data
  • Review the footwear
  • Review the foot orthotic prescription

The Appointment - The review appointment is held at our Wimbledon premises. To help you, we have compiled a checklist of important things to remember to bring to this appointment;

  • Running shorts & t-shirt
  • The foot orthotics together with the trainers & daily shoes brought to the assessment & fitting phases

Any queries, please contact us and we would be pleased to help.
