Richard is a congenital double-amputee who has represented the UK at cricket, swimming and the Paralympic equivalent to ice hockey - sledge hockey.

He now applies his determination and natural athleticism to long-distance running, achieving great success in marathons, ultra marathons, and coast-to-coast runs all over the world. His story is a fascinating one.

London Calling

Sunday morning I got up at 5am, prepared all my kit and got ready before my interview with Five Live at 6.45am – the usual questions about my achievements over the last few weeks, my Flex-Runs and how much I’d raised. Thanks once again to everyone who sponsored me.

The U.S. of A

Quite jet-lagged, my first night in the hotel (Thursday) was quite sleepless, but I was up early on Friday morning for a run at 6.30am. This was to make sure my legs were ready for the challenge on Sunday.
