Selection guidelines
What products are right for me?
Your prosthetist will consider many different factors when fitting you with a prosthesis (an artificial limb). Your general health, height and weight are taken into account, as well as the level of amputation and the length and shape of your residual limb. The kind of life you lead and the activities you enjoy are also important, as are your hopes for the future.
Financial constraints are often an additional factor for healthcare providers. Some are able to incorporate private reimbursement.
Unique solutions for unique people
In our product pages you'll discover a wide range of high quality prosthetic components, from feet to knees, liners and locks. All have been meticulously developed to meet specific needs and some will be more appropriate for you than others.
The activity-level icons represent a range of activity or "impact" levels. To find out what products may potentially be of benefit to you, take a look at the
product selection guidelines page and think about what impact level you identify most closely with at present.
Your prosthetist, however, is the person to discuss these with.
He / she understands your individual needs and can advise you best on the most appropriate prosthetic components.
