Going up-hill with the POWER KNEE is fantastic. I can definitely feel the power of the knee. It makes me feel like a Power Woman.
Beate Bakermans lives in the Dutch town of Son and Breugel. When she was just 17 years of age, she experienced an aggressive form of bone cancer that led to an above-knee amputation.
Today Beate is an artist. She likes nothing better than to get out in the countryside, and really enjoys cooking healthy food and having fun with her friends. Beate strives to keep a healthy balance in all her activities and finds that yoga is a great help in that respect.

Louis Manoukin lives in Chartres, not far from Paris. In 2006 he lost his left leg following a car accident. Before the accident he enjoyed karate and horse riding, even roller- blading with his son.
Today Louis is back in training and swims regularly. He also makes the lengthy commute into work every day. Despite living in a third- floor apartment with no elevator, he often has to remind himself that he is actually wearing a prosthesis!

Helgi Sveinsson lives in Reykjavík, Iceland. He lost his leg in 1999 due to cancer. In recent years, Helgi has been working with Össur at its manufacturing facility in Iceland, helping us to test and constantly improve our products.
Helgi's hobbies include playing golf, hiking and fishing – and he uses his POWER KNEE for all of them.
