Steve MottramStephen is a State Registered Orthotist, registered with the UK Health Professions Council (HPC) and a member of the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO). Qualified in 1981, he has been in continuous practice with clinical and management of all aspects of paediatric and adult orthotic treatment.

Over his professional career, in addition to his clinical role, he has managed orthotic teams within the private and National Health Service arenas and has also managed new products and service development.

As the Clinical Specialist within Technology in Motion, his current role is to research and develop new products and services for the UK orthotic field. This role also involves developing education and training to health care professionals in the UK Health Service and internally within the company.

Bringing his wide experience to the new field of cranial remoulding, he is instrumental in educating Paediatricians, General Practitioners, Physiotherapists and parents on STARband™ therapy for babies with deformational plagiocephaly. Working closely with colleagues from Orthomerica and other centres within the USA, he is the UK’s leading authority on orthotic management of head shape deformity and he currently holds regular clinics in Central London and the North of England.
