Ossur is made up of passionate, ambitious people eager to help those who live with disabilities. Our corporate motto, Life Without Limitations, is much more than a marketing slogan. It is a vision that we share as a dedicated and caring organization.
We believe that as a leading orthotic and prosthetic manufacturer, it is our responsibility and privilege to support our industry and to serve patients and practitioners in every way we can. In fulfilling this mission, we believe it is our obligation not only to provide world-class products, but also to support those who rely on them.
We know that we cannot achieve these objectives by ourselves, therefore we supplement our own efforts by supporting people who are experts at helping amputees and educating practitioners. We partner with a great variety of both large and small organizations and continually explore opportunities for additional partnerships.

Amputee Coalition of America (ACA)
Like Ossur, the mission of the ACA is to empower people with limb loss through education, support, and advocacy. To assist with that effort, we are a corporate member of the ACA and a long-term gold sponsor. We have now expanded the reach and scope of these activities by forming a multi-level partnership focused on maximizing opportunities, promotion, and awareness of community care for amputees. Among the major goals of this partnership are: empowering amputees with education and information, addressing the issue of access to care for all amputees, and effectively addressing the needs of caregivers and the professional community.
Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF)
The Challenged Athletes Foundation provides opportunities and support for people with disabilities who wish to pursue a life of physical fitness and sports. CAF has proven that this fosters self-esteem and the ability to achieve goals in life. We agree and feel strongly that the pursuit of sports and fitness can play an important role in living a Life Without Limitations. Ossur has been a long-term supporter of CAF and has formed a partnership to help intensify support of their mission. Through their 'Access for Athletes' grant distribution program, and the 'Catch a Rising Star' mentoring and fitness program, amputees can access a life of fitness and receive guidance as to how to get involved.
Included in their many opportunities is the online training and support program, the San Diego Triathlon Challenge, the Tour De Cove and the Ossur National Half- Marathon Leg Amputee Championship and 5k. Ossur is a proud sponsor of all these programs.

Orthotic and Prosthetic Assistance Fund (OPAF)
As the official philanthropy effort of the U.S. O&P community, OPAF's chief mission is to enable individuals with physical disabilities - especially those served by O&P's - to enjoy the rewards of personal achievement, physical fitness, and social interaction.

Other Golf Sponsorships
Since golf is one of the sports most enjoyed by amputees, Ossur sponsors a variety of golf tournaments around the country every year.
These include events organized by the National Amputee Golf Association (NAGA), the Eastern Amputee Golf Association (EAGA), local prosthetic organizations, and O&P facilities.

American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA)
We believe that the O&P industry associations have an influencial and powerful impact on the continuity and growth of professionalism in the industry. Ossur is a proud member of AOPA and a platinum sponsor of the annual AOPA National Assembly. Ossur and AOPA work together on initiatives that ensure the advancement and success of the O&P practitioner. Whether it is for promoting good business management or addressing governmental, medical or regulatory issues, Ossur and AOPA strive together to foster an environment for success. The overall objective of the partnership is to support the O&P industry and make sure it receives fair treatment under the Medicare regulations and other laws affecting the field. Through its membership in AOPA, Ossur also supports educational programs on practice management.
These programs enable O&P facilities to become stronger and better businesses by improving all aspects of their operations.
American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP)
The AAOP's dedication to promoting professionalism and advancing the standards of patient care through education, literature, research, advocacy, and collaboration is in many ways parallel with our own efforts through the Ossur Academy. We are a strong supporter and gold member of the AAOP, have actively participated in their annual meeting and are an avid contributor to their scientific symposium.

California State University Dominguez Hills
In August 2003, Ossur donated space and equipment at our North American headquarters to house the Prosthetic Program offered by California State University Dominguez Hills.
Without that support, this successful 20-year old program would have been forced to close its doors due to federal funding cutbacks. Since CSUDH is responsible for graduating approximately 15 percent of our country's prosthetic professionals each year, it is extremely important that this program continues to operate for the benefit of the industry and more importantly, the amputees who rely on it.
Team Ossur
Team Ossur is an extraordinary group of athletes, talented performers and professionals who are sponsored by Ossur. They all share the common goal of living a Life Without Limitations. Team members act as ambassadors for Ossur, sharing their experiences and ultimately motivating other amputees. Their talents and charisma help bring the courage and achievements of amputees to the forefront of public awareness. With the help of modern technology, amputees can often lead the kind of lives they want, achieving things that were almost unimaginable in previous generations. For example, there are more than half a dozen Team Ossur members who are Paralympians. Despite this progress, widespread knowledge or acceptance has yet to be achieved in combating common misconceptions about limitations for amputees - even within the amputee community itself. Through the support and recognition of Team Ossur members, more and more amputees will become aware of the opportunities available to them and their families.

Amputee Mobility and Performance Workshop
Ossur sponsors a number of workshops throughout the United States that offer a hands-on opportunity for amputees, physical therapists and prosthetists to improve prosthetic skills. These groundbreaking workshops were created and are run by Bob Gailey, PhD, PT. Through fun activities and exercises, amputees learn how to improve their balance, walking pattern and get more function from their prosthesis.
Professionals get an opportunity to improve their clinical skills by working with amputees to assess their abilities and assist them with exercises. It is also a chance to explore the latest prosthetic technology from Ossur. This free one-ofa-kind workshop series, is a part of Ossur's commitment to ensuring a Life Without Limitations for all amputees.
Ossur Academy
The practitioner's technical knowledge is critical in ensuring an amputee's success with his or her prosthesis. The Ossur Academy offers an extensive range of seminars - on demand and free of charge - designed to help practitioners get the most out of Ossur products while providing an opportunity to exchange valuable information. Our aim is to enable orthotists and prosthetists to achieve clinical success. The Academy program was recently expanded by launching the industry's first Online Education Forum provided by a manufacturer. Featuring high quality video and audio demonstrations, the online courses are free of charge and easy to follow. The goal is to enable busy practitioners to have access to education in a way that fits into their busy schedules, with obvious benefits to the amputees they serve.
