Clinical Specialist - PhysiotherapistLisa graduated from Coventry University in 2001 with BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy. She worked as a qualified Physiotherapist in Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust. She successfully completed rotations on Care of the Elderly, Respiratory, Intensive Care Unit, High Dependency Unit, Cystic Fibrosis Unit, Llandough Day Hospital, Neurology Outpatients, Stroke Unit, Community Physiotherapy, Paediatrics, Paediatric Orthopaedics, Paediatric Outpatients, Paediatric Oncology, Adolescent Oncology, General Outpatients, Hydrotherapy, slow stream rehabilitation, Acute Response Team, and Orthopaedics.
She was successful in achieving a position as a Rotational Senior II, followed by a Specialist Senior II in Outpatients, Trauma and Orthopaedics. Following this she accomplished her goal in achieving Team Leader Band 7 Senior Physiotherapist for the Cardiff and Vale Orthopaedic Centre. She was the manager of 14 Physiotherapy staff covering 6 different wards and areas, covering approximately 120 orthopaedic beds. She worked alongside an excellent multi disciplinary team and 26 professional Specialist Consultants.
Lisa was employed by Ossur in August 2008 working from the Cardiff Clinic. Since this time Lisa has been involved in the setting up and the running of two other clinics in Worcester and Bristol. Alongside running these thriving clinics, Lisa has presented many lectures with leading Orthopaedic Consultants at conferences and educational sessions from Spinal Anatomy in Stoke Mandeville, Osteoarthritis and Ligament Damage on the MSc Podiatry course; Cardiff University, to The controversies behind anterior cruciate ligament surgery in a military base in Poole.
Lisa prides herself in keeping up to date with her Continuing Professional Development by researching the latest evidence based practice thus allowing her to still provide gold standard treatment for her patients and clients.
