Sally Hews MBAPO

Orthotist/Prosthetist

A state registered Prosthetist/Orthotist, registered with the UK Health Professions Council (HPC), Sally is also a member of British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO).

She qualified in 2003 with a BSc in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Salford, and started her career as an Orthotist at the Royal Berks and Battle NHS trust. Working with an established multi-disciplinary team providing adult and paediatric orthotic care, Sally went on to become involved with local community-based paediatric clinics.

Next she worked with a London based orthotic practice, gaining extensive clinical experience in various NHS trusts concentrating on lower limb orthotics for orthopaedic and neurological conditions. During this time she was also involved with a number of paediatric clinics in specialist schools, becoming steadily more familiar with plagiocephaly and current treatment protocols.

Technology in motion, from Ossur was delighted to welcome Sally to the team in 2006. She has since gained extensive knowledge and experience in the cranial remoulding treatment and has spoken at other allied health professional meetings regarding this treatment.

Sally is a member of the Wimbledon Clinic team.
